By joining this group it is assumed that you already know about Ron Paul. If you are looking to learn more about him, we encourage you to do a search on the Net and read up a little bit -- we'll not be delving too deeply into it here because that is already being done.

Rather, the purpose of this social network is action in the era of Web 2.0. The guardians of mainstream media may be able to prevent Ron Paul from ever getting any coverage through their channels. Other candidates may have tens of $ millions more from special interests out to protect their seat at the government trough so that they may continue to gorge themselves on others rights, liberty and hard earned wealth.

However, there's nothing to prevent Dr. Paul from running the best Net oriented campaign ever .

And that will require action on our part.

What sort of action? That will largely be defined by the members of this group. However, I envision this to be a national resource for all interested in helping advance Ron Paul's efforts to run for president. The resources of Ning enable us to communicate effectively and share valuable content that must be projected as effectively as possible.

That said, we are in need of folks to gather and create valuable content that can be readily accessible to the Web 2.0 community of bloggers, podcasters so that it can be easily projected through the emerging web 2.0 content portals that are working diligently on their own to challenge the dominance of mainstream news and media outlets.

Beyond that, we'll want to integrate and recruit on a regional and local basis to help Dr. Paul get the exposure on the ground. An armed army of volunteers with this ready resource at the fingertips should be able to get things moving more quickly than ever possible before.

All that said, join up and get involved. Now. Our nation has crossed the Rubicon. Only our best efforts will help turn the tide back towards the liberty and freedom that those who founded our once great nation had gifted us so many years ago.
